It looks like this former star running back has gotten control of his eating habits.

Former Packers Pro Bowler and Alabama star Eddie Lacy appears to be doing better in his post-NFL life after a career of being mocked in the league for overeating.

Lacy posted a picture of himself drinking some sort of cleansing juice, with his face looking much leaner than when we last saw him, and shared an uncomfortable yet positive update about his personal life.

“A while back I did a 4-day fast. I wasn’t even sure I could do it—but I did, and I felt amazing,” Lacy said in a social media post. “I didn’t want to lose that momentum, so recently I started a simple protocol to keep things going… and it’s already been a game changer.

“Snacking and overeating have always been a struggle for me, and I know I’m not the only one,” Lacy continued. “Even in just a couple of weeks, my cravings feel way more under control, and it’s been so much easier not to overeat.”

It is unclear what Lacy currently weighs. NFL teams were baking in weight thresholds into his contracts in an attempt to keep him under 280 pounds as a running back.

He did claim in 2016 that his weight was under control when he was with the Packers after he “stopped drinking so much,” but later had issues with the Seahawks.

Lacy, 35, would be fined for being overweight but also had incentives tied to his contracts for staying within undisclosed weight targets.

In 2017, Lacy signed with the Seahawks and came in weighing 267 pounds, more than 30 pounds heavier than he was the year prior with the Packers.

Then-Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said he wanted Lacy weighing no more than 240 pounds.

Lacy starred for Alabama before winning the 2013 Offensive Rookie of the Year award, but struggled to stay on the field due to his weight and was out of the league after a failed run in Seattle in 2017.

Lacy was last in the news for an “extreme DUI” in Arizona in 2024.

“I still have a long way to go, but I want to start sharing more of the journey and what I’m learning—partly to keep myself accountable, and hopefully to help others too… because let’s be real, a lot of people are struggling with their health right now.,” Lacy concluded in this recent post.
