We say: He already pays plenty, Liz. Yes, Amazon’s founder has reportedly kept his income taxes down by drawing a small salary. But he pays big-time when he sells stock.

Forbes estimates Bezos forked over $2.7 billion in taxes in 2024 alone, after unloading $13.6 billion in Amazon stock. Oh, and he’s given billions away in charity over the years.

But greedy, dishonest Warren still isn’t satisfied.

We say:  Reuters didn’t just tilt the story by claiming the court “gutted a core Voting Rights Act protection”; it totally gaslit readers.

All the court did in striking down Louisiana’s race-based districting was merely limit how the VRA can be used — so that it doesn’t violate the US Constitution when there’s “no compelling interest” to justify the “use of race.”

This suggestion:

“Walgreens should be charged with first-degree corporate abandonment.” — Chicago Alderman William Hall, Monday

We say: Hall is angry that Walgreens is closing one of its Chicago stores, forcing people in that area to travel further for medicine and other needs.

But the store faced continuing theft and violence that left it unable to ensure safety for workers and shoppers.

Maybe Hall should be charged with law-enforcement abandonment for not doing more to fight crime.

We say: Please. No Republican wants to deport “American citizens.” And none have been. But if the facts aren’t on their side, Democrats like Olszewski plainly feel entitled to just lie.
