Amal Clooney loves a vintage moment. Especially when it sparkles.

The lawyer was spotted at The King’s Trust 50th Anniversary Celebration at Royal Albert Hall in London Monday, wearing a golden sequin Alexander McQueen gown that caught every angle of light from the flashing bulbs.

Clooney, 48, paired the metallic look with Cartier Juste un Clou double hoop earrings ($14,600) — and she tripled-down on the gold with metallic pointed-heel pumps.

The dress originally debuted on the runway as part of the fall/winter 2007 “In Memory of Elizabeth Howe, Salem, 1692” collection, which was inspired by the persecution of women, harkening back to the Salem Witch Trials (and McQueen’s own ancestor Elizabeth Howe) — a theme that the human rights lawyer certainly keeps close to heart.

First to wear the architectural look off the runway? Cameron Diaz, who chose the gown for the “Shrek the Third” Tokyo premiere red carpet in May 2007.

The gown is covered entirely in golden sequins, boasting cap sleeves and a V neckline. It hugs the wearer’s frame, with lines off metallic paillettes fashioned as though they’re twisting around every curve of the body.

The same dress sold in the “Fashion Icons” auction at Sotheby’s in December 2024 for a whopping $114,000 — though it’s unclear if Clooney was the special winner.

Though Amal was, indeed, spotted in a fresh-off-the-runway Pucci ensemble last week, touching down in St. Tropez for husband George’s birthday festivities, she has been known to shop auctions for many of her pieces, and loves to wear pieces from the archives.

In January, Amal wore a bright red archival Balmain gown on the Golden Globes 2026 red carpet that was snagged from the design house’s 1957 haute couture collection. For the after-party, she pulled from Versace’s 2022 collection.

At the London event, Amal was joined by George, who wore a navy blue suit, and makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, who also opted for head-to-toe sequins.
