Geno Smith interacted with the Davie Police Department three months before it formally investigated him for battery, and the encounter wasn’t exactly pleasant.

On a rainy March 18 afternoon, the Jets quarterback was pulled over by a Davie PD officer on a roadway in Davie, Fla. after he had allegedly been driving a Rolls Royce with improper tags. Body camera footage obtained by The California Post on Tuesday shows Smith was not thrilled to have been stopped.

The two-time Pro Bowler was visibly annoyed and wondered repeatedly why he had been detained.

When the officer explained the plates on Smith’s car were for a Lamborghini, not a Rolls Royce, Smith was adamant he merely made a minor mistake.

“I’ve got a lot of cars, fam,” Smith said. “I probably switched the tag on the cars.”

Smith continued to demand to know why the cop stopped him, even after the policeman stated Smith’s offense was “called unassigned tag to the vehicle.”

“But I’m saying, why’d you read my tag?” Smith said. “You just wanted to? It’s a nice car and you just wanted to?”

“No, no, no,” the cop replied. “You read anybody’s tag. That’s my job. That’s my job, sir.”

Smith then told him to “do your job better.”

The cop ended up issuing Smith two citations before letting him go — one for attaching tag (license plate) not assigned, and one for driver’s license not carried/exhibit on demand.

Court records show Smith disposed of the matter last month.

On Sunday, Smith and the Davie Police Department met again, after a woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend called 911 and said he “beat me up” outside of his mansion.

Reps for the Davie PD told The Post on Monday that cops showed up to Smith’s residence at around 4:40 p.m. to investigate the claims, but no arrests were made.

A probe into the woman’s allegations remains ongoing, the reps added.

Smith has not publicly commented on the situation. The Jets have not issued a statement either.

Smith joined New York in March via a trade with the Raiders. He previously played for the Jets from 2013 to 2016.
