And on the second day, the Knicks finally made a pick.
After trading the No. 31 selection to Houston to open the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft, the Knicks went with German guard Jack Kayil at No. 39.

Kayil, 20, spent last season with Alba Berlin of Basketball Bundesliga.
It marks their first pick of the draft proceedings after trading out of the first round on Tuesday as they try to avoid taking on more salary with a mandate from owner James Dolan to not reach the second apron.
The second-round swap also sent the No. 55 pick to the Rockets, bringing back No. 53 in addition to a 2029 second-rounder.
