Times haven’t changed for her.

It’s 2026 and stereotypical gender roles in relationships have certainly evolved — well, at least for most people.

One stay-at-home mom is sticking to tradition by refusing to let her hard-working, bread-winner hubby do any housework — and she’s getting slammed online for it.

While sitting on her couch with what looks like 10 different deer heads mounted on the wall behind her, this steadfast wife kicked off her video with over 1 million views, explaining how she doesn’t understand the online discourse urging women to leave their husbands if they’re not pulling their weight at home.

Pointing out that she clearly lives a very different life from those complaining women, she proudly tells her followers that her blue-collar husband works 12-plus-hour days, Monday through Saturday, doing manual labor.

“This man is up before the sun, he does not come back until the sun is way down in the dark. And on Sundays, that’s his day to rest, his day to hang out with his kids. I’ll be a dang purple mouse before I watch him do housework,” the Midwest-based mom explained.

“I’m a stay-at-home mom. I’m exhausted, I’m tired, it’s just me, we have no family [close by]. He’s way more tired than I am. I’m not having him do a dang thing at the house.”

Well, that statement alone was enough to ruffle many feathers, as over 2,000 users chimed in to give their two cents.

Many balked at this wife’s hot take.

“And if he was single living alone working blue collar he would have to shop for food, cook the food, do his laundry and clean the house. He would not have the benefits of children and childcare. So marry an equal partner instead of defending doing it all yourself,” one wrote.

“I work 12 hr days and i come home and do chores lmfao,” quipped someone else.

“Ok as u stated u don’t have to work and go in on household bills so of course then ur husband shouldn’t have too but let’s not down these women who aren’t in that situation,” chimed in someone else.

While others agreed wholeheartedly with her.

“Same here sister! he works 14 hour days 6 days a week. Sundays are for church and spending time with our babies. I take care of our farm and the kids and all the housework. Would never ask him to,” a comment read.

“Im right there with ya!!!! Some wife’s don’t get it. And that’s ok,” another chimed in.

“Ahh feels good to be on the right side of social media now!! I completely agree!” wrote someone else.
