Content creator Suede Brooks is embarking on a new career endeavor. Joining the cast of Calabasas Confidential through fellow influencer Nicole Sahebi, Brooks is shaking up the dynamic within this group of old high school friends with her unpredictable, albeit magnetic, energy. But while reality TV may be new territory for Brooks, she is certainly no stranger to life in the public eye.

Back in 2017—just a couple of years after Kourtney Kardashian called it quits with Scott Disick—a 16-year-old Brooks was spotted hanging out with the dad of three, along with 19-year-old Delilah Hamlin and 18-year-old Madison Beer. Her photos were splashed all over The Daily Mail, with an entire Reddit thread questioning why Disick, then 34 years old, would be partying with teenagers.

“I would definitely say it’s very Calabasas-coded, to say the least,” Brooks told DECIDER of her hangout with the self-proclaimed Lord Disick. “I moved to LA when I was 15, so I’ve been here for a very long time. I feel like I’ve experienced a lot of different lives. I would consider it an experience, a fun time to be had, if you will.”

In a place like Calabasas, celebrity encounters seem almost unavoidable, so it’s no surprise that Disick was hardly Brooks’ only brush with fame. Back in 2022, Brooks, then 21, was spotted yachting with Drake in Saint-Tropez. When asked how she ended up on a yacht with the rapper, Brooks played coy, responding, “Well, don’t we all want to know how one ends up on a yacht with Drake?”

Responding to Calabasas Confidential co-stars Jemma Durrant and Sahebi questioning how she could go from the “Hotline Bling” singer to Dylan Wolf, Durrant’s former situationship and the self-proclaimed Malibu cowboy, Brooks told us, “I consider all of my flings, if you will, a fun time. I wouldn’t consider Dylan to be one out of the box. I mean, look at him.”

Much of Brooks’ story this season surrounds the drama with Wolf and Durrant, with whom she quickly hit it off after being introduced by Sahebi. While Brooks initially seemed like a strong defender of Durrant, it wasn’t long before she was pulled in by Wolf’s charm—the same charm that captured Durrant’s attention (and left her heartbroken) back in high school. Things became messy between the two women when Brooks denied that anything was going on between her and Wolf, only to hard-launch him on her TikTok soon after.

“When I posted that TikTok, I did not think that it was going to bother anyone,” she said. “It was a simple trend that I found that I thought was hilarious, and that was honestly why I posted. I thought it was funny and that was that. There was no bad blood behind it whatsoever.”
