Taylor Sheridan fans have a date to circle on the calendar. Paramount+ has announced that Lioness will return for its third season on August 2, bringing Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman back for another round of high-stakes espionage.

Saldaña and Kidman once again star in the series and serve as executive producers. This season, according to the official synopsis, “hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals collide” as Joe (Saldaña) finds herself trying to protect both her mission and her home life while new dangers close in.

The synopsis also hints that “patterns appear where they shouldn’t, names vanish, and paths rearrange.” With Kaitlyn (Kidman) and Westfield (Michael Kelly) helping steer the operation, Joe is forced to take on enemies who are staying out of sight, pushing her deeper into a conflict that now touches every part of her life.

Season 2 shifted the CIA’s war on terror much closer to home. Joe, Kaitlyn, and Byron (Kelly) brought in a new Lioness operative to infiltrate an emerging threat, while the growing pressure of the job forced Joe to reckon with the sacrifices that come with leading the covert program.

The ensemble cast also includes Morgan Freeman, Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Genesis Rodriguez, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, Hannah Love Lanier, and Ian Bohen.
