As Los Angeles residents await the results from Tuesday’s election, one of the city’s more hallowed political salons is about to hit the market.

Mike Rose and Ruben Rodriguez are selling their one-acre estate in Hancock Park where the couple have hosted dozens of political talks and fundraisers for everyone from Pete Buttigieg to the National AIDS Monument to Outfest.

The listing price for the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom, 7,520 square feet Tudor-style home at 344 South Hudson is $16.5 million. Shortly after Rose and Rodriguez sold the production payroll and residuals platform Ease Entertainment Services, they purchased the home on Hudson and moved in two years later after a substantial renovation. “This block is just extraordinary,” Rose told Page Six Hollywood, noting that his neighbors have included Shonda Rhimes, David Schwimmer and Bill Simmons.

When they moved in, John Wells lived next door, and it was only years later after sifting through some old mail that they realized they had missed a welcome-to-the-neighborhood invitation for tea from the famed TV producer. Oops!

The house, which was originally built in 1926, consists of an office, screening room, formal dining room and a glass encased cylindrical elevator. The grounds are expansive with a tennis court, pool, putting green and koi pond. The property also has a one-bedroom guest house, outdoor kitchen dining area, and a three-car garage.

“There are lots of people who tend to hide in their mansion behind a gate, but LA also has a handful of people who are comfortable opening up their homes for causes and events to help give back,” said Neyshia Go at Sotheby’s International Realty, who has the listing. “And that’s an amazing thing.”

According to Redfin, the residential real estate market in Hancock Park is in a bit of a trough. The median sales price for a home is down 60% compared to last year while on average homes sell after 140 days on the market compared to 65 days last year.
