I've tried 30+ perfumes — here's the Hermes scent I keep ...

Finding the right scent is not easy. Trust me, I know. I’ve tried over 30 different perfumes in the past few years. Over time, though, there’s one scent I keep going back to. It’s been a constant for me through long travel days, 9-5 work weeks, and luxe events.

The Hermes Twilly perfume doesn’t just look great — even though it comes with a mini embroidered Hermes scarf on its bottle — but it smells delicious, without overwhelming your senses. You can shop the 1.69-ounce size for $144. Yes, it’s on the pricier end, but it makes a great self-care gift for yourself, or the perfect option to gift Mom for Mother’s Day.

This floral fragrance is anything but generic. With musky, deep pepper undertones, you’ll get something sweet with a little something spicy.

Hermes’ Twilly perfume has been around since 2019, and that’s how long I’ve been stocking up on it. It was originally a gift from my dear dad on my birthday, and the deep floral scent mixed with darker, musky undertones has me reaching for it daily. It’s best described as a rose-patchouli hybrid with hints of spicy peppercorn throughout.

My favorite part? A little goes a long way. A couple of spritzes of this Hermes perfume will easily last you up to six hours. I usually spray it on before heading out of my apartment in the morning, and I can still subtly smell the scent in the early evening. The scent itself is not sickly sweet, but still smells feminine, thanks to its deeper floral notes. People are always asking me, “What are you wearing?”

I’ve had my current 1.69-ounce bottle of Twilly for about a year now, and I still have a decent amount of perfume left in the bottle. And before you ask, yes, my mom is a fan of the scent too. She visits me a few times every year and can’t resist spraying Twilly on herself before we head out to our next dinner or happy hour. In her words, “When can I have my own bottle so I don’t have to keep stealing yours?”

Shop the Hermes Twilly now and experience this delicate fragrance for yourself. If you’re shopping this as a Mother’s Day gift, shipping times can vary, so make sure to shop quickly if you want this wrapped and ready to celebrate Mom.
