Even if my iPhone was superglued to my hand, I’d find a way to drop it.
I drop it at least once every three days (and no, this is not an exaggeration). No matter what phone companies claim, smartphones are quite fragile, especially when they suffer drop damage and have no case on — or a flimsy case for that matter.
As a tech reviewer, I own Google Pixel smartphones, iPhones and the Samsung Galaxy series. After another fatal iPhone fall, I decided it was time to find a case brand that could keep each device safe, while still looking cool and unique. Casetify quickly became a go-to for me.
Casetify builds cases that are not just impact-resistant but also gorgeous to look at. They easily slip on and off, and apart from offering everyday protection, they’re great conversation starters.
Casetify’s cases are very customizable. Each design is available for a variety of phone types and sizes, and you can pick between four impact-resistant options (when available). Some cases may only be available in some options, but most are available in the Bounce and Impact series — the brand’s two top-selling series when it comes to drop and impact resistance.
Bounce cases offer extra drop resistance (over 30 feet at times), whereas Impact cases are usually drop-resistant up to 8 feet — that’s enough if you drop your phone in elevators, off your desk or off your bed. That said, if you work in a more rugged environment or tend to be extra clumsy, the Bounce series is probably worth the splurge.
My latest addition to my Casetify lineup was buying a few cases for my iPhone 17 Pro. The brand sells tons of collaborations, but one that really stood out to me is this eclectic, trend-themed collection from Laundry Room Designs. Whether you’re obsessed with Girl Dinner or love your martinis extra dirty, there’s a case in this collection that matches your personality. Mine, of course, had to be hot sauce-related because I’m one of those people who carries a mini Cholula and Tabasco in her bag at all times.

Buy the case in the Impact series. It’s lightweight but still offers drop protection.

Beyond the Impact Case, I’ve found the other best Casetify cases that pass not just the drop test but also look memorable. Each is one I’ve personally tested and loved.

With a tactile design that’s smooth to the touch, the Ripple Case provides your phone with the protection it needs without the larger edge bumpers. It has 6.6 feet of drop protection — and yes, I’ve dropped my phone from my desk several times with this case still on, and there were no issues. Plus, the silicone design also keeps my case dirt- and lint-free.

As an all-time DC Comics lover, stocking up with a Batman case was imperative, and I love this “Shadow” case option, which lets the color of my phone peek out. Its muted design and true-to-comic Batman graphic make it a must-have for anyone a fan of the Dark Knight. I own it in the Impact series, but you can also shop it in the heavier Bounce series if you’re more susceptible to dangerous phone drops out and about.

Now, don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of phone cases you can buy for $10 to $20, so why should you spring for one that averages around $50? For one, I can say with experience that my screen and back glass suffered scratches when I used cheap cases. Casetify cases offer drop protection and impact protection, which really protect your smartphone. They have tons of designs, too, and you can even personalize a case to suit your personality. Plus, Casetify also makes cases for your laptop, tablet and earbuds.
In my opinion, Casetify also makes great gifts. Each case is packaged in an individual box, and after seeing my best friend’s eyes light up when I gifted her a coffee-themed case for her birthday, I know they’re worth it.
As a very clumsy human, these cases had to withstand smartphone falls from my desk, off my bed and, one time, a nasty fall against the bottom of a metal elevator. Luckily, my smartphones survived each fall without so much as a scrape. I also tested these cases in my carry-on suitcase, as I was curious to see if banging them around in luggage would change their shape or dent them — none of that happened, thankfully.
