At least, that’s what my mom spent years trying to tell me while I was still scouring the racks for the most aggressive push-up bras at Victoria’s Secret.
As a teenager and even a young adult, I didn’t have much discernment when it came to lingerie. I wasn’t looking for quality or craftsmanship; I just wanted something that hoisted my chest as high as possible to look good in a low-cut top.
But after having a baby, my priorities began to shift… I know, shocking. Comfort and support became non-negotiables. And, I began to search for high-quality bra brands that supported alignment and posture, especially after breastfeeding.
Don’t get me wrong: I still love a bit of cleavage now and then (who doesn’t?). But these days, I’m looking for something minimal and natural, not just squashed. My mom always swore by Chantelle bras, so I finally decided to see if they lived up to the hype.

The support level is, in my opinion, just right. It offers a natural lift without so much structure that it feels restrictive or hard to move in. The cups are lightly contoured for a rounded silhouette, giving gentle shape without making anything look artificial. It’s also lightly lined for added comfort.
And the design is simply stunning… photos barely do it justice. It’s classic, elegant, something you actually want to show off. It has that high-end French luxury feel, which is even more impressive knowing that it’s comfortable enough to wear every day, on repeat.
