In a mashup of old and new Brooklyn — where Hollywood has increasingly immigrated — we hear that movie stars slash borough power couple Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne had a stoop sale yesterday in front of their brownstone.
A source said it was just “an old fashioned stoop sale,” with Cannavale (a Jersey native, though he could be from Brooklyn) presiding over the scene and Aussie-born Byrne making cameos.

One source who snapped up some goods was tight-lipped about what was up for grabs, but joked that they didn’t buy too much of the stars’ stuff so as not to look “like a freak.”
Spies said that Cannavale was “sitting behind a Fisher-Price cash register,” and that the couple’s kids were helping with the sales while Byrne “made an appearance.”
Recent Oscar nominee Byrne and Cannavale reportedly bought a Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, townhouse for $2.2 million in 2015, and did a gut reno of the 2,700-square-foot space that was originally built in 1899, according to Architectural Digest.
But we hear they’ve moved to a new home nearby.
Other celebs who live in Brooklyn include Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz, Matt Damon, Paul Rudd, Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard and many more.

As part of the celeb stoop sale trend, Julia Fox was also reportedly selling off hundreds of high-end items on Saturday from her closet in Tribeca as part of an eBay stoop sale series.
A rep didn’t get back to us.
