Nail-biting video shows fed-up Brooklyn drivers head the wrong way on the highway in a reckless move to avoid gridlock traffic from the annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour.

Video of the chaos posted on social media by the Williamsburg News shows cars stranded — some face to face — as outraged drivers opted to go the wrong way on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway near the Wythe Avenue exit Sunday morning.

Tens of thousands of cyclists — including New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani — participated in the 40-mile ride that spans all of the Big Apple’s boroughs.

The event, which dates back to 1977, caused multiple major bridges and roadways to shut down.

“They close streets and highways AND BRIDGES so these people can ride their dam bikes!!!! WTF IS WRONG WITH THIS CITY?” raged Steven Bush on X.

“NYC is not a biking city,” another chimed in.

Others dismissed the mess as nothing more than an inconvenience.

“This happens for a short time, one day, once a year. Get over it,” one user posted.

While participating in part of the popular bike riding event, Mamdani bashed US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as “cruel and inhumane” hours after a violent clash erupted between anti-ICE protesters and cops outside a Brooklyn hospital.

“They do nothing to serve in the interest of public safety, and I’ve said that even directly to the president,” Hizzoner said of the federal immigration agents.
