Laura Clery shared new details about how she was crushed by her 600-pound home refrigerator.
The comedian explained in a Facebook post on Thursday that the stainless steel French door fridge wasn’t “properly mounted into the wall,” which allowed her 7-year-old son Alfie, who is autistic, to pull the fridge forward when he was climbing it.
Clery said when she tried to push the fridge back, it fell over and “was fully crushing” her.
“It nearly killed me,” Clery wrote, noting the fridge also “could have absolutely killed” Alfie.
Clery added, “This should never have been possible. This was negligence.”
The YouTuber also said she wants “to f—ing sue the contractor” who installed the faulty fridge.
Clery’s post included a photo of her wearing a neck brace and receiving oxygen while in the ambulance after the incident.
In her Thursday Instagram post, Clery said being pinned by the fridge was “most terrifying night of my life as a single mom.”
She revealed she “couldn’t move” and “couldn’t breathe” as she struggled to get the fridge off her, as Alfie and her daughter Poppy 5, who she shares with ex-husband Stephen Hilton, watched the crisis unfold.
Clery admitted she didn’t think she’d survive in the moment.
However, she was able to use phone in her pocket to call 911. Multiple firefighters arrived at the scene and got the fridge off her.
Clery also shared a video of herself being rushed into an ambulance as one of the firefighters told her they were taking her to “a trauma center.”
She then moaned pain and said, “F–k, it hurts.”
Hilton also weighed in on the incident in a Substack essay, revealing Clery sent a text to him while she was pinned that said, “Come by now now now.”
“I then got a call from a hyperventilating Laura, barely able to get words out, panicking, struggling for breath,'” Hilton wrote, adding that his ex-wife asked for “help” multiple times on the call.
When Hilton arrived at the scene, he “was stunned” to see seven firefighters and two paramedics there helping Clery.
Hilton said men who worked on the fridge recently failed to pull all the screws back in, which is why the fridge toppled over when Alfie was on it.
“I’m going to try and find the guys responsible,” he declared.
