A new nepo baby is joining the Next Gen NYC cast. Rowan Henchy, the eldest daughter of Brooke Shields, will be making her reality TV debut when the hit Bravo show returns for Season 2 on June 24.
In a trailer that dropped at the NBC Upfronts today, Henchy is introduced to the cast of Gen Z New Yorkers. “I had a dream you all killed me,” she tells Ava Dash and Emira D’Spain. Meanwhile, Gia Giudice attempts to explain who Henchy’s mother is to her boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, describing the renowned actress as “Hannah Montana’s mom.” Shields has, of course, starred in movies like Blue Lagoon, Pretty Baby, and Endless Love—but, in terms of Gen Z, yes, she also played Miley Cyrus’ mother in the Disney Channel series.
In fact, Shields will also appear in Next Gen NYC. In the teaser, Henchy walks out carrying an urn of her grandmother’s ashes, to which Shields jokes, “I put my mother next to the two things she loves the most: me and booze.”
Former Nickelodeon actor Liam Obergfoll, who starred in the sitcom Every Witch Way, and Kendall White will also be joining the show this season, which will put a heavy focus on Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy‘s short-lived breakup last fall.
With Biermann single and available, it’s no surprise that the eligible men in the show are clamoring for her attention, Obergfoll being one of them. The most surprising part, however, is that the teaser hints at a potential hookup between Biermann and Season 1 villain Charlie Zakkour, who’s described as having “no sense of loyalty” in the trailer.
Meanwhile, Georgia McCann is starting a cleaning product brand in honor of her viral admission that she doesn’t wash her hands, Zakkour is beefing with Seth Marks (father of his friend and co-star, Brooks Marks), and the entire cast is traveling from the Big Apple to Las Vegas for BravoCon.
