Dutton Ranch Season 1 hasn’t even wrapped yet, but Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser’s hit Yellowstone spin-off has already secured a Season 2.

On Wednesday, June 24, with just two episodes remaining in its debut season, Paramount+ announced that Dutton Ranch would live to ride again!

According to a press release, the Dutton Ranch Season 2 renewal comes “hot on the trail of its record-breaking Season 1 debut.” With a star-studded cast like Reilly, Hauser, Finn Little, Annette Bening, Ed Harris, Jai Courtney, Juan Pablo Raba, Natalie Alyn Lind, and more, it’s no surprise that the Texas-set Western drama has kept viewers tuning in week after week.

“Beth and Rip are among the most iconic duos in television history and we are thrilled to bring a whole new world to life with Dutton Ranch for our subscribers around the world,” said Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals for Paramount+, in a press release. “We’re also incredibly grateful to our partners, including the teams at Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, for bringing this new series to life with such grit, heart and authenticity.”

Season 1 of Dutton Ranch consists of nine episodes, which may take viewers by surprise, considering eight or 10-episode seasons have become more typical. Since seven episodes have already aired, Dutton Ranch Season 1 has two episodes remaining.

Dutton Ranch‘s Season 1 finale will be available to stream Friday, July 3 on Paramount+ at 3:01 a.m. ET and will air Friday July 3 on Paramount Network 8:00 p.m. ET.

Dutton Ranch Season 2 Renewal Status: Will There Be A Season 2 Of Dutton Ranch?

As noted, in Wednesday, June 24, ahead of Dutton Ranch Episode 8 Paramount+ officially renewed the series! On top of having an 89% Tomatometer rating on Rotten Tomatoes, according to a press release, “Dutton Ranch cemented itself as a smash-hit by amassing 12.9 million viewers globally in the 7 days following its premiere — marking the biggest Original Series launch in Paramount+ history. The series also delivered 2.9 million total viewers during its two-episode debut on Paramount Network on May 15, making it the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023. With 1.85 million viewers for the premiere telecast alone, Dutton Ranch also ranked as the #1 cable entertainment telecast among both adults 18-49 and total viewers.”

Dutton Ranch was also dubbed the #1 streaming series according by Nielsen based on average audience for the week of May 11, and the show was a smash hit on Paramount+ social channels as well.

It’s no wonder Paramount wants more Dutton Ranch, and so do fans and the show’s stars! While Season 2 details are under wraps, we know when the series returns it will have a different showrunner, as Chad Feehan departed from the series three weeks prior to its premiere.
