



























Kyle Busch, one of NASCAR’s top drivers, has died after being hospitalized with a severe illness on Thursday.
He was 41.
News of Busch’s illness was announced by his family earlier in the day, and the shocking news came of his death came from NASCAR shortly before 6 p.m. ET.
“We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport’s greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old,” NASCAR said in a statement. “We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.”
Busch was 24th in the Cup Series standings, holding two to-10 finishes over 12 races during the 2026 season.
