Actor Nick Pasqual was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday for stabbing his award-winning make-up artist ex-girlfriend more than 20 times during a home break-in the Los Angeles area.

The 36-year-old, who appeared in multiple shows including “How I Met Your Mother” during his 16-year acting career, attacked Allie Shehorn inside her Sunland, Calif., home in May 2024.

Pasqual was found guilty last month of attempted murder, forcible rape and domestic violence, among other charges, according to court records viewed by The Post.

On Tuesday, the court gallery erupted in applause as the life sentence was handed down by Judge Hayden Zackey, who called Pasqual “as bad as it gets” and described the attack as “savage.”

Shehorn, 37, who wore red dress that revealed her scars, addressed Pasqual in tears just before he was sentenced.

She described lying on the floor in a pool of blood after the attack, wondering if she would ever “become a mother someday.”

The make-up artist then explained she had to wrap a belt around her own neck and pull it tight to stop the bleeding before paramedics arrived.

She said she now wears the scars as a badge of honor while calling Pasqual “a coward.”

At one point Pasqual asked to address the court, with those in attendance gasping at the request.

“This weighs heavily on me,” he told the court. “This is a burden that I will carry the rest of my life.” He went on to say he was “thankful she’s still alive,” adding that “I tend to remain focused on sobriety and remorse.”

After the sentencing, Shehorn told The California Post that she didn’t “believe a word” Pasqual said.

Last month, Shehorn emotionally recalled Pasqual’s terrorizing behavior, including a violent fight that resulted in the couple splitting and her filing a restraining order against the actor.

Shehorn was found by her surrogate mother after the attack and rushed to the hospital, where she underwent multiple surgeries.

She suffered multiple slashes to her neck as well as cuts on her arms and abdomen, spending nearly a week fighting for her life in the intensive care unit.

Pasqual had allegedly attacked his then-girlfriend at least four times before the violent stabbing.

In her restraining order, Shehorn accused Pasqual of using a belt, breaking down doors, leaving her with a concussion and raping and choking her.

A year before the attack, Shehorn had won “Best SFX Makeup” at the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival for her work on “Incorrigible.”

She has also worked on films including “Rebel Moon: Part One” and “Babylon.”

Shehorn returned to the make-up industry after recovering from her injuries and has nine credits since 2025.
