No one is safe on HBO‘s Euphoria.

Just this past Sunday, series creator Sam Levinson killed off one of Euphoria‘s biggest stars in an incredibly grotesque way. Spoilers, but Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi) was bitten by a venomous rattlesnake while being buried alive in the California desert. However, Nate might not be the only major Euphoria character fated to die in Season 3…

Rue Bennett (Zendaya) has been tempting fate since Euphoria began all the way back in 2019, but she’s come closer to death than ever before in Season 3. Euphoria Season 3 Episode 7 ended with Faye (Chloe Cherry) screaming to alert her Nazi boyfriend Wayne (Toby Wallace) that Rue had managed to open the safe in Laurie’s basement. Wayne already had plans to kill Rue and now he has all the more reason to do so.

Even if Rue survives Wayne’s ire, there are other threats. Rue has almost been killed many times by Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and Bishop (Darrell Britt-Gibson) has threatened to kill both her and her mother Leslie (Nika King). Maddy (Alexa Demie) finally realized just how dangerous Alamo is last week and Cassie was almost killed or disfigured by Naz (Jack Topolian). No one is safe!

Well, maybe Lexi’s (Maude Apatow) safe. She’s not exactly working with drug dealers, sex traffickers, or criminals on the sanitized set of L.A. Nights.

So who dies in Euphoria Season 3? And when does the season finale come out on HBO and HBO Max?

Who Dies in Euphoria Season 3?

We don’t know yet who — if anyone — dies in Euphoria Season 3, although the situation is looking pretty bleak for the likes of Rue and her pals. That said, several key characters have already died in Euphoria Season 3.

Nate Jacobs died in Euphoria Season 3 Episode 7. He was buried alive by Naz in order to pressure Cassie to come up with the million dollars that were owed to the loanshark. Although Cassie managed to come up with the money with Maddy and Alamo’s help, it was all for naught. When Nate’s coffin was exhumed, it was revealed that a rattlesnake had slithered into the ventilation pipe and bitten Nate several times, resulting in his death.

Naz also was killed in last Sunday’s episode; Alamo shoots him instead of paying him $1 million.

A few other characters have died this season of Euphoria, including several of Ali’s (Colman Domingo) sponsees in a flashback, stripper Tish (Emma Kotos), and, of course, the bird Paladin. We still do not know for sure if Angel (Priscilla Delgado) actually ran away from rehab or if she was also cruelly killed, but our best guess is the latter.

When is the Euphoria Season 3 Finale?

The Euphoria season finale — Euphoria Season 3 Episode 8 “In God We Trust” — comes out on HBO and HBO Max this Sunday, May 31, 2026.

The Euphoria Season 3 finale will double as the Euphoria series finale. Meaning, Euphoria ends this Sunday at 9 PM ET.
