Canada takes on Switzerland today, June 24, at Vancouver Stadium, with first place in the group on the line.
The Canadians opened their tournament with a 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina before breaking through in style against Qatar, earning the men’s national team’s first-ever World Cup win with a 6-0 demolition.
Switzerland, meanwhile, has also taken four points from its first two games, drawing 1-1 with Qatar before beating Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1. Rising Swiss attacker Johan Manzambi has been one of the breakout names of Group B after scoring twice in the win.

The result could also matter for the United States, which has already won Group D and is set to face one of the best third-place teams from Groups B, E, F, I or J in the Round of 32. Depending on how Group B finishes, one of Canada, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina or Qatar could still end up in the USMNT’s path.
