The theme park had not yet opened to the public at the time of the call. Officials said deputies were conducting a sweep of the park grounds as a precaution.

Employees who were inside the park were evacuated during the investigation. Authorities also shut down the main entrance on Magic Mountain Parkway as well as the employee entrance near Sky View Lane and Feedmill Road during the response.

The park operates from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm. The park remained closed well past its scheduled opening time Monday morning as deputies continued their investigation and search of the property.

Authorities have not said whether any suspicious items were discovered, and no injuries have been reported.
