Sergey Brin’s secretive life with influencer after ditchi...

He was the nerdy tech titan who impacted everyone’s daily life, but no one knew who he was.

Yet Google cofounder Sergey Brin has suddenly burst on to the scene and transformed into a political powerhouse — and many think it’s due to his girlfriend.

Despite his escalating war with Sacramento — mainly over the state’s crippling billionaire tax — little is known about the billionaire’s private life.

Brin has quietly traded Silicon Valley’s liberal bubble for a far different backdrop — a sprawling Nevada hideaway perched on the edge of Lake Tahoe, just beyond California’s tax reach.

He shelled out a reported $42 million for the cliffside estate, according Realtor.com. The property — a placeholder here for its exact current valuation — sits on the Nevada side of the border, allowing Brin to maintain distance from Sacramento’s policy ambitions while still keeping one foot in Google’s orbit.

He now splits his time between the Silver State and California, alternating weeks at Google’s headquarters, a person familiar with the arrangement said.

That is not it.

The 52-year-old also quietly snapped up a sprawling waterfront mansion through a Nevada-registered LLC, purchasing it from Michael Burke and his wife, Brigitte Burke, as first reported by Business Insider.

The home sits on the ultra-exclusive Allison Island — a 35-acre, guard-gated enclave in Biscayne Bay between Miami Beach and La Gorce — where fewer than 50 single-family homes line the private stretch alongside a handful of condos and hotels.

Spanning nearly 10,000 square feet, the modernist estate includes seven bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, a waterfront pool and private dock, with two separate wings linked by a central passageway.

Since leaving California, he’s said to have embraced his girl even more.

Gerelyn Gilbert-Soto “GG” has given glimpses of the lavish lifestyle tied to Brin’s new base, posting glimpses of high-end living — from private jets to luxury wellness routines — across social media.

Despite her strong online presence, she recently made her Instagram private.

For much of his career, Sergey Brin showed little interest in politics, and when he did get involved, his views aligned with the political left.

He supported same-sex marriage efforts in California in 2008 and contributed to Barack Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012.

In 2010, he donated $200,000 to oppose suspending air pollution laws, and in 2006, he gave $1 million to help tax California oil for research on alternative energies.

After Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016, Brin reportedly described the result as “deeply offensive” during remarks to Google staff.

He also took part in protests opposing the administration’s travel ban on several Muslim-majority nations, according to The New York Times.

In 2021, he quietly established a nonprofit organization that directed at least $88 million toward climate and environmental causes, further cementing his reputation as a prominent liberal figure in Silicon Valley.

However, in recent years, that political alignment appears to have shifted.

“This is a guy who is not a hobbyist,” Marty Wilson of the California Chamber of Commerce, told the New York Times. “He’s very serious and this isn’t just some hobby for him. He’s going to play big time.”

Enter Gilbert-Soto — known online as “GG” — a 32-year-old influencer who has become a striking presence in Brin’s orbit and, according to some insiders, a catalyst in his political shift.

She brands herself as a “holistic health coach” and “clean meat enthusiast,” sharing a steady stream of aspirational — and often extravagant — content, according to her instagram.

Yacht yoga sessions, caviar-laced breakfasts, designer wardrobes and $500 skincare devices are all part of what she calls an “obtainable” lifestyle.

“If you want to hate on me for having caviar, well you should probably hate on somebody who gives a s–t,” she said in one Instagram video now made private.

But beyond wellness content, Gilbert-Soto has carved out a distinctly pro-Trump identity. She has referred to the president as her “bestie,” carried a bedazzled MAGA clutch and, according to two people, circulated a photo of Brin himself wearing a red MAGA hat, the Times reported.

She has accompanied Brin to meet conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, attended private dinners at Mar-a-Lago and even joined a small, high-profile White House gathering where she sat among top tech executives.

After attending Trump’s inauguration with prime seating, she wrote on Instagram: “Mucho gratitude for my lovey, as without him I wouldn’t know the president or have even been at the inauguration.”

This year, the Google co-founder has had a burst of political spending not seen before, according to campaign finance records.

Brin has poured tens of millions into conservative-aligned causes, including $57 million aimed to a group, Building a Better California, aimed at opposing California’s wealth tax measure.

He ditched moderate Democrat San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan — of whom he spent more than a million dollars to support — in favor of Trump-endorsed Steve Hilton for this year’s governor’s race. Gilbert-Soto had soured on Mahan for attending a “No Kings” rally.

This year, he established a dark money group in his new home state of Nevada to channel political contributions on California campaigns. He has reportedly recruited other billionaires to also join his cause.

In a statement to the Times, Brin said: “I fled socialism with my family in 1979 and know the devastating, oppressive society it created in the Soviet Union. I don’t want California to end up in the same place.”

In a resurfaced interview back in December, Brin provided more context for his new political leanings.

“Just something about California that was very freeing and liberating given the tradition of the state,” he said about his arrival to the Golden State to attend Stanford — but he added it’s a tradition “that we’re getting a little bit away from in California, if I’m being honest.”
