Company rewards employees with cheap 'goodie bags' instea...

That’s one insulting “raise.”

There’s no denying that times are tough.

Groceries are wildly expensive. Filling up a car’s gas tank can send shivers down one’s spine. It seems as though no one can stop outside their home without spending money these days.

So now more than ever, people are waiting with bated breath for a little boost in their pay at work. But before you curse your company for giving a measly 1% (or even 2%) increase in pay, it’s better than what one Reddit user received.

The disguntled employee took to the r/mildlyinfuriating forum on Reddit to share a photo of the “goodie bag” that they received in leiu of an end of year raise.

Above a picture of a water bottle, pen, one single piece of candy, crackers and what appears to be a small round toy or measuring tape (either are terrible), the worker wrote “Yes, this is all that came in it,” answering what was on everyone’s mind when looking at this atrocious image.

Reddit users couldn’t believe how insulting this “goodie bag” raise was for employees at this company. reddit

It wasn’t specified what cheapskate company this person works for but whatever it is, they better start looking elsewhere after this stunt.

Almost 300 people ran to the comment section to either poke fun at this bag of horrible goods or share similar experiences.

“It would have been less offensive to give nothing at all,” one user pointed out.

“What are you kindergarteners?” someone else asked.

“The poor manager that had to hand these out and pretend to be thrilled…” an empathetic user commented.

“I worked for a company that would give out Christmas presents like this,” a comment read.

“True story: My mom lost it at her old job after something like this. She worked HR, and saw that the executives all got $300k bonuses. The bonus they got for the employees? Everyone got a chocolate chip cookie. 1 cookie. They came around with a box and everyone was allowed to take 1,” a commenter shared.

“A ‘go f–k yourself’ bag,” quipped someone else, while another wrote “I wouldn’t have even taken that home.”
