Attending the World Cup this summer is one of the most desired events to attend, but it is also one of the most expensive to attend.

So expensive that regular tenants of the 16 stadiums hosting World Cup matches this summer might not even be able to go.

Los Angeles Rams safety Kam Curl appeared as a guest on the Up and Adams Show Thursday afternoon and was asked by the show’s host, Kay Adams, if the Rams get discounted tickets, to which Curl responded by saying “No.”

“We gotta pay full Price,” Curl said to Adams. “It’s crazy, y’all in our stadium. But it is what it is, I’ll watch it on TV.”

Los Angeles Stadium, also known as SoFi Stadium to the Rams and Chargers, who play there during the NFL season, is hosting 8 matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Five of those matches include group stage matches, with two games scheduled for the second round, and will host one quarterfinal match.

Tickets for the event have skyrocketed in price. Houston Public Media reported that the USA’s opening first round game against Paraguay last week was costing fans between $1,000 to more than $30,000.

On top of the outrageous prices for tickets, The New York Times reported in February that fans would be paying between $75 to $300 in prices for parking.

The New York Times also revealed that, with the high cost of tickets, parking, and food, the cities hosting these games would not receive any of the revenue generated, as the World Cup will provide exposure to American cities.

While Curl will end up watching the games from the comfort of his home, he did mention that he enjoys seeing the World Cup games being played on real grass, instead of artificial turf.

“I’m gonna tell them to leave it out there,” Curl said on Up and Adams. “I’ll [water] it myself.”
