Hall & Oates rocker Daryl Hall revealed he underwent kidney surgery and is in recovery.

“I thought you should know that I recently received a kidney transplant from a very kind and generous living donor,” the vocalist, 79, wrote via Instagram Tuesday.

“It happened a couple of weeks ago, and I’m already starting to feel better. It was, according to my doctors, a complete success!”

Hall shared that he “should be back to normal in a few months,” and expects to return to the stage for “more music” and shows.

The musician revealed he was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2006 after suffering from a tick bite six years prior.

According to the CDC, Lyme disease spreads through tick bites and symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue and a skin rash.

“If left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system,” the website reads.

Hall, meanwhile, was forced to cancel tour dates following his diagnosis, telling Sea Coast Media group in 2008 that he had “good days and bad days.”

“I was fine for four months then I might have tremors, headaches, fatigue. It’s like a roving street gang of germs,” he previously shared.

Hall and his former bandmate, John Oates, formed Hall & Oates in 1967 and released their number-one single on the Billboard 100, “Rich Girl,” in 1976.

A few additional of their chart-topping hits include “Kiss on My List” (1981), “Private Eyes” (1981), “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do)” (1981), “Maneater” (1982) and “Out of Touch” (1984).

The duo, however, hit a roadblock in 2023 after Hall requested a restraining order and filed a lawsuit against Oates over “the ground rules of who can sing what as a solo artist, along with money issues.”

Hall accused Oates of the “ultimate partnership betrayal” after the latter planned on selling his portion of their band’s venture, including personal name, record royalty income, social media assets, trademarks and likeness rights, without permission.

At the time, Oates responded to the filing, stating that he was disheartened by his business partner’s “inflammatory, outlandish and inaccurate statements” and that he’s been trying to improve their partnership.

“Over the years, Daryl has consistently and publicly been adamant about being perceived as an individual rather than as part of a duo or group. Thus, he has insisted on our being known as ‘Daryl Hall and John Oates,’ rather than the more commonly known ‘Hall & Oates,’” Oates’ filing wrote.

“On this point I agree. I now must act with truthfulness and make decisions that are right for myself, my family, and my artistic future.”

The lawsuit was later dismissed.
