Milky soda? ARMRA’s new colostrum drinks are better than ...

The fear of seeing that trail of white powder scattered on your kitchen counter.

It’s really my only issue with colostrum — the first milk produced by mammals after birth, rich in minerals, immunoglobulins and antibodies, and widely taken in supplement form for its reported health benefits.

ARMRA is one of the brands I’ve never doubted in terms of effectiveness. The science is certainly there. My single issue has always been the format… and the mess. It’s hard to justify paying $119 for a jar of loose powder that requires careful preparation: scooping, mixing and shaking. And nothing irks me as much as knowing that some of it will still end up on the floor.

It’s a bit of a gamble whether the powder fully dissolves — it’s slightly grainy (a sign of high quality), and ARMRA recommends mixing it with a cool beverage since heat can damage the bioactive compounds. So, for me, making colostrum drinks always feels a bit like an experiment.

That’s why my curiosity piqued when I discovered ARMRA just launched new “bold, cold, and gone before you know it” Colostrum Sodas. Even so, our team wasn’t entirely convinced when the shiny cans landed on our desk.

Combining milk with fizz feels unusual… but we were brave enough to give them a swig.

The new shelf-stable ARMRA Colostrum Soda Variety Pack includes 12 bottles across four flavors: Spicy Lime, Pomelo Basil, Huckleberry and Pear Ginger. Each bottle contains 1 gram of ARMRA colostrum, the same amount as in the travel-size serving and a single scoop from the jars.

According to ARMRA, the drinks contain 400+ bioactive nutrients from grass-fed bovine colostrum, and the brand describes the flavors as “one-of-a-kind” and “everything you never knew you always wanted.”

Partnerships Manager Frank Maassaro admitted he expected to be “put off by the flavor but was pleasantly surprised,” adding that if he’s going to drink a colostrum soda, the “benefits are primary and flavor, for me, will be secondary.”

But as it turned out, the flavor was surprisingly delicious.

Our Review of ARMRA Colostrum Soda

With my own colostrum supplement creations, at best, the sweetness just about masks the slightly bitter edge; at worst, it tastes like something my toddler invented.

But, these colostrum sodas are something else — the flavor profiles are balanced, they’re slightly fizzy, and not overly sweet at all. If anything, I’d say they lean more botanical, almost like a mocktail.

“I love ginger beer, so the pear ginger was the flavor I was most eager to try,” shared Commerce Deputy Editor, Holly J Coley. “It’s refreshing, not too sweet or strong. Sort of like a flavored seltzer but with a bit more pizazz. I can definitely see myself grabbing this instead of my daily Coke Zero.”

Beyond how drinkable these new cans are, it helps to know ARMRA is one of the most potent, pure and well-regarded colostrum brands online. Over three months, 86% of ARMRA users reported less bloating, 79% saw thicker hair and 80% improved lean muscle mass.

My problem was never with colostrum, just the way it’s served. And now these pre-made, perfectly balanced, single-serve colostrum drinks solve the one issue I’ve had with it. Also, a 12-pack just hit the market at $44, just a fraction of the notorious $100+ per jar, and arguably far more convenient.
