Insanely drunk mom punched, bit flight attendant on low-c...

A mom was arrested after she got so plastered and belligerent on an international flight that she punched and bit a flight attendant, a court in the UK has heard.

Zoe Alexander, 36, drank two-thirds of a bottle of brandy to “knock her out” during the nine-hour flight from the UK to Cuba, but instead became increasingly violent as her behavior “deteriorated,” the Mirror reported.

She called a female crew member a “f–king b—h c–t” after being told not to enter the premium areas of the aircraft, while “swaying from one aisle to another,” prosecutor Blaise Morris said in Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday.

Alexander was “talking loudly, slurring her words and being overly familiar with passengers and cabin crew,” from the start of the August 2022 flight with low-cost airline Tui, Morris said.

Her behavior became “increasingly aggressive,” and one fellow passenger pressed the assistance button because she was worried for her children, prosecutors said.

The mom from Essex, southeast England, was banging on the TV on the back of the seat in front of her while yelling “f–k you,” and also attempted to light a cigarette at one point.

A restraining kit was finally brought over, at which point, a two-thirds-empty bottle of brandy was spotted behind her chair by crew member Gerard Taylor, the court heard.

Alexander then punched another cabin crew member in the stomach and pulled off his tie, yelling, “f–k you.”

In the process of restraining Alexander, Taylor was also punched and bitten on the hand by the drunken passenger as he tightened a pair of handcuffs, Morris said, adding that she also verbally assaulted another passenger who was helping to restrain her.

“I hope bad things happen to your children. I hope they die,” Alexander told the passenger, Graham Murphy, in front of his kids.

The unruly passenger was finally put in restraints for the rest of the flight and was escorted off the plane by police upon arrival in Cuba.

Crew members said they had “never experienced” such a bad passenger, with one calling it “the most frightening incident” she had witnessed in 30 years as a flight attendant.

Murphy called it a “truly traumatic” event for him, his children, and the other passengers.

Alexander’s lawyer, Eleanor Gleeson, argued that her client had suffered from mental health issues, but accepted the role that alcohol played in her behavior.

She said Alexander was “horrified” by her actions and “recognizes the significant impact it had on her victims that day,” the court heard.

Alexander initially denied the charges of being drunk on an aircraft and three counts of assault by beating, before changing her pleas to guilty on the first day of her trial in March.

Judge Paul Mason sentenced her to a five-month sentence, suspended for 18 months, and banned her from leaving the UK for 12 months.

Alexander was also ordered to attend 20 rehabilitation days and given a 90-day alcohol absence and monitoring requirement, along with around $100 compensation for each of her victims.
