Caitlin Clark has been one of the central figures in the WNBA’s recent surge.

But it apparently isn’t enough to make the league’s 30th anniversary poster.

The WNBA is selling a poster to mark its 30th season, and fans quickly noticed that the Indiana Fever star was not among the players featured.

Clark’s omission sparked backlash online, with some social media users calling the decision “egregious” and “ragebait.”

The poster includes a mix of current and former WNBA stars, including A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier, Kelsey Plum, Angel Reese, Nneka Ogwumike, Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, Becky Hammon and Dawn Staley.

The Fever are represented on the poster — just not by Clark.

Instead, Sophie Cunningham is among the players included.

The league’s treatment of Clark has been a major topic, and it heated up again Wednesday night when Mercury star Alyssa Thomas put her fist on Clark’s throat and the referees did not call a foul. The WNBA did suspend Thomas Thursday for one game.

Clark’s absence stood out given her impact since entering the league as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

She won WNBA Rookie of the Year that season and set the league’s single-season assists record with 337.

Clark also set WNBA rookie records with 769 points and 122 made 3-pointers.

Her arrival coincided with a major jump in attention around the Fever, who set a WNBA single-season home attendance record during her rookie season.

Clark was not the only major name missing.

The Indianapolis Star noted that several WNBA legends were also left off the poster, including Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Tina Charles, Tamika Catchings, Candace Parker and Elena Delle Donne.

That list only added to the criticism, with fans questioning how several of the league’s most recognizable players were left out of a poster celebrating 30 seasons.

The WNBA has not publicly explained the selection process for the poster.
