The Jets are facing some competition for Russell Wilson — from CBS.
Wilson is in “deep” discussions with TV networks as he contemplates retirement, The Athletic reported Friday.
CBS is the favorite to land Wilson for its “The NFL Today” pregame show on Sundays, per the report.

Wilson met with the Jets recently about a role backing up Geno Smith, with the QBs previously teammates on the Seahawks.
But it now looks like the 37-year-old could be ending his illustrious career after he struggled in his brief time as the Giants’ starting quarterback last season.
Wilson, who is married to Grammy-winning singer Ciara, has cameoed for CBS in the past, including during the last postseason.
The Super Bowl champ would be replacing Matt Ryan, who left the network take over as the team president of the Falcons.
