New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Apex, Marty Supreme, Nikki Glaser: Good Girl + More

Netflix is cranking out some big hits this week; while we’re excited to see Charlize Theron in action in the new survival thriller Apex, there’s also a new season of Kate Hudson’s series Running Point, plus the premiere of Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, the animated series that serves as an extension of the original show. This week on HBO Max, the home to so many A24 films, you can now watch Oscar nominee Marty Supreme, and on Hulu, check out comedy superstar Nikki Glaser’s new special, Good Girl.

New on Netflix April 24: Apex

Charlize Theron has become one of Netflix’s most successful action stars thanks to her Old Guard movies, and now she’s venturing to the outback for yet another thrilling action-thriller. In Apex, out now on the platform, Theron stars as a grieving woman who heads to the Australian wilderness to clear her head and do some rock climbing when she finds herself pursued by a serial killer (Taron Egerton). The film, shot on location in Australia, also co-stars Eric Bana and it’s available to stream now.

New on Hulu April 24: Nikki Glaser: Good Girl

Nikki Glaser’s star is on the rise now that she’s become one of the most reliably hilarious award show hosts, and you can catch her latest special, Good Girl, on Hulu this week. The special tackles issues like aging, beauty, Hollywood and fame with Glaser’s signature brutality and honesty.

New on HBO Max April 24: Marty Supreme

Josh Safdie directed Marty Supreme, which is loosely based on the real-life table tennis player Marty Reisman (played by Timothee Chalamet, who earned an Oscar nod for the performance) on his quest to become the best. The film, which co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara and Fran Drescher has finally made its way to HBO Max this week.
