Donovan Mitchell over Cade Cunningham – Points Moneyline (-110): DraftKings Sportsbook has a boost token on this head-to-head scoring prop, and both sides are getting plenty of action as a result. Mitchell has the advantage in the number of bets at this point, although Cade has been the slight favorite most of the day. Mitchell and Cunningham each had 23 points in Game 1, but Spida won the head-to-head scoring matchup in Game 2, 31 to 25, even though Cunningham led the Pistons to another win to go up 2-0 in the series. Game 3 is in Cleveland, where Spida has produced 27.2 points per game throughout the regular season and the playoffs. He only had 22 points in Game 7 at home against the Raptors, but he put up 32 and 30 points in the first two games of that series he played at home. Cunningham averaged 25.0 points in his 39 road games during this regular season and postseason. Both guards will likely have heavy usage, but being at home seems to be enough to have the public leaning towards Mitchell on Saturday.
Jarrett Allen 1st Points Scorer (+443): Of the 10 expected starters for Game 3 in this Eastern Conference matchup, Allen has the most first points scored this season. He has scored the first points in 18 of his 65 games this regular season and postseason, and the Cavs have gotten the first shot and basket in each of the first two games in the series. In Game 1, Evan Mobley got the bucket, and in Game 2, Dean Wade made a three-point shot for the first points of the game. Wade has played 68 games this regular season and postseason, and that is the only game in which he scored the first points. With that reminder that first points can be extremely random, Allen is a solid longshot play since the Cavs will need the big man to be very involved if they want to get a win on Saturday afternoon and close the gap in the series to 2-1. Allen had a much better Game 2 with 22 points after only getting two points in Game 1 while battling foul trouble.
Ajay Mitchell u3.5 Assists (+119): In the late game, the public is on the under on Ajay Mitchell’s assists. It’s a plus-money prop that has everyone’s attention, even though Mitchell went over this mark with four assists in Game 1 and six assists in Game 2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had slower games in those two contests due to foul trouble, so this may be the public just expecting him to take back more of the workload from Mitchell, who defers to SGA more when the games are close and competitive. Mitchell averaged 3.8 assists per game on the road this season and 3.6 assists per game overall. The public is banking on him to regress to that average in Game 3 on Saturday night in Los Angeles.
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
