Alex Hunter details his top Alperen Sengun player prop for Sunday’s NBA playoff game between the Rockets and the Lakers.
The Rockets are hosting the Lakers for Game 4 on Sunday night. The Lakers lead this series 3-0. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Houston is favored by 2.5 points and this game carries a total of 205.5 points.
Let’s dive into my favorite Alperen Sengun player prop for Sunday’s contest.
Kevin Durant (ankle) will miss his second in a row Sunday and with him out for the overtime thriller in Game 3, Sengun was a monster, posting 33 points, 16 rebounds, six assists and three steals. The center lead the Rockets with a 28.3% usage rate, he logged 41 minutes in regulation and he shot 55% from the field.
Sengun has now scored at least 33 points in two of the last three he has played with Durant inactive and Sengun should barely leave the floor again in Game 4, with this being win-or-go home for the Rockets. With Durant off the floor this season, Sengun’s usage rises 1.5 percentage points to 28.5% and he is scoring 0.64 points per minute.
So, with a 40-minute projection, Sengun is projecting for 25.6 points tonight vs. the Lakers. Los Angeles is giving up the fourth-most points in the paint so far in the playoffs and Sengun should surpass 22.5 points with ease tonight.
