Also, this is the fourth edition of WWE’s “Clash” event, previously titled “Clash at the Castle” and “Clash in Paris”. Clash in Italy features the third Tribal Combat match as Roman Reigns faces Jacob Fatu with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line as well.

Roman Reigns beat Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and remain the Tribal Chief. Reigns is now 3-0 in Tribal Combat matches.
When the bell rang, Reigns and Fatu felt each other out, as neither was aggressive right away. Reigns and Fatu traded offense for the first few minutes. Fatu tried to lock in the Tongan Death Grip early in this match, but Reigns got out of it. Then Fatu took the action outside the ring, where the two fought in the crowd. After getting the best of Reigns on the outside, Fatu brought Reigns back to the ringside area.
Fatu put the steel stairs inside the ring, but Reigns used them against the challenger. Then Reigns hit Fatu with a Drive By into the post of the ring. Fatu got back in the ring and was finding success against Reigns. But then the Tribal Chief hit a Superman Punch out of nowhere.
Reigns hit Fatu’s arm with a toolbox, severely hurting the Samoan Werewolf. 20 minutes into the match, both competitors were beaten down. Reigns hit Fatu with a Spear through the barricade. Fatu kept kicking out each time it seemed over. Fatu hit Reigns with his signature Moonsault, but Reigns kicked out. Nearly 27 minutes into the match, Reigns hit Fatu with a Spear through a table.

Sol Ruca connected with a Sol Snatcher on Becky Lynch to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Ruca is now the fifth wrestler to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Ruca has a good start against Lynch, but the champion didn’t stay down for long. During this match, Ruca displayed her tremendous athletic ability. Early on, Lynch’s physicality was a difference maker.
Lynch’s rivalry with referee Jessika Carr continued throughout this match. Ruca showed a new side to herself as she was able to exchange strikes in the center of the ring with Lynch.

Brock Lesnar beat Oba Femi in the third match at Clash in Italy. This is Lesnar’s first victory in 2026 and his first win in a one-on-one match since September 2025, when he beat John Cena at Wrestlepalooza. Lesnar and Femi are now 1-1 against each other, making the trilogy match likely.
Lesnar hit Femi with the F5 four times after the bell rang. But then Femi kicked out. Then Lesnar put Femi in the Kimura. Every time Femi got back up, Lesnar beat him down again. Lesnar was frustrated when Femi kept kicking out. Lesnar hit Femi with an F5 through the announce table. Femi got back in the ring and started hurting Lesnar. But the Beast bounced back and picked up the victory.

Then, Oba Femi makes his way to the ring.
Rhea Ripley hit Jade Cargill with a Riptide to retain the WWE Women’s Championship. Ripley moves to 2-0 against Cargill in singles matches.
Cargill was displaying her dominance early in this contest. The fans booed Cargill during this match. Ripley was fighting from behind as Cargill continued to break down the champion.
Recently, Cargill has improved her skill set, and it showed in this match with Ripley. When Ripley was finally able to find success of her own, the crowd was heavily behind her.
“This is awesome,” chants rang out throughout the arena during this match. At WrestleMania, Ripley and Cargill put on a good match, but they took it to the next level in Italy. B-Fab and Michin came out to the ring, which distracted Ripley. Charlotte Flair came out to help even the odds for Ripley.
Up next: Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi
After the match ended, Gunther was very angry with the referee because the referee counted to three while Gunther’s foot was under the rope.
Cody Rhodes defeated Gunther to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship in the first match at Clash in Italy. This match had a weird finish, as it seemed Gunther’s foot was under the bottom rope. Rhodes is now 2-0 against Gunther in singles competition.
As expected, the crowd in Italy was unbelievable during this match. Both Rhodes and Gunther got cheered in this contest. Gunther took the fight to Rhodes at the start of this match. In the first five minutes, Rhodes struggled to gain momentum.
Eventually, Rhodes got back to his feet and began to establish offense against Gunther. Rhodes vs. Gunther was a clash of styles, but they combined to deliver an excellent match. Gunther continued to put Rhodes in the sleeper hold, but the champion kept fighting back. Each time either competitor looked to finish the match, the other fought back.

Clash in Italy is starting with Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther for the Undisputed WWE Championship. This is the first of two matches airing on ESPN.
