Alex Hunter details World No.1 ranked player Scottie Scheffler’s availability for the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in July.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler committed to playing at the 3M Open in July on Monday morning, which will be his first time competing at the event.
The 3M Open is played at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota and it will be played from July 23rd-26th, making it the next tournament following the Open Championship, which is the fourth and final major of the season.
Given that the 3M Open is annually played the week after the Open Championship, the 3M Open usually struggles to attract big players, so Scheffler committing is huge news for this tournament.
The superstar is in the midst of another incredible season on the PGA TOUR. Scheffler has finished inside the top-five in six of his nine starts, including a win at the American Express in January and runner-up finishes at the Masters, RBC Heritage and Cadillac Championship, which have come in his last three starts.
While odds for the 3M Open won’t be released on DraftKings Sportsbook until closer to the event, expect Scheffler to be a heavy favorite to win, despite this being his first attempt at TPC Twin Cities.
