Stan Son takes a look at the recently released 2027 Stanley Cup champion odds and betting lines on DraftKings Sportsbook.
With the Carolina Hurricanes winning the 2026 Stanley Cup on Sunday night, it’s time to set our sights on next season. Can Carolina go back-to-back like the Florida Panthers in 2024 and 2025? Or like the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021? Or the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016 and 2017? The Vegas Golden Knights hoisted the trophy three seasons ago and were one win away from replicating the feat this season. Can they get back on top?
Let’s take a look at the recently released odds to win next season’s Stanley Cup on DraftKings Sportsbook in the NHL futures market.
With the 2025-26 NHL season complete, here are the updated odds to win the title in 2027 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Carolina is favored to go back-to-back at +700. Vegas has the third-lowest odds to win it all at +850. Entering the 2025-26 playoffs, Colorado was favored to win it all at +300. They have the second-lowest odds at +800 to claim the throne next season. Florida was back-to-back champions in 2023 and 2024, but failed to make the playoffs this past season due to injuries and shoddy goaltending. They are expected to once again be a contender with the fourth-lowest odds alongside the Oilers.
Pittsburgh made the playoffs this past season and was +2200 to win it all, but new ownership and a philosophical change to retooling seems to be in order. As a result, the Penguins are way down at +5500 to win it all next season.
