Sean Barnard details his top same game parlay for the Oklahoma City Thunder at Los Angeles Lakers NBA Playoffs Game 4.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have taken a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Lakers. Game 4 will take place in Los Angeles as the Lakers desperately fight to avoid the sweep. Oklahoma City looks on a mission to defend last year’s championship, winning each of its first seven games of the postseason in convincing fashion. Its depth has shined and the Thunder will be looking to complete the sweep tonight.
Looking at the odds for Game 4, the Thunder enter as 11.5-point favorites and hold -575 odds of winning outright on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Lakers hold +425 odds of winning outright with the game total set at 214.5 points.

It is time to start talking about Rui Hachimura as the elite shooter he has turned himself into. After knocking down 44.3% of his perimeter attempts across the regular season, Hachimura is shooting a ridiculous 58.0% from deep since the postseason started. This is while his three-point output has increased to 5.6 attempts per game across the playoffs. Hachimura has knocked down 3+ three-pointers in all three games in this series, and in six of the last eight matchups. While some sort of shooting regression is due, the Lakers are making it a priority to generate three-point looks for the sharpshooter. This is especially the case considering three-point defense is one of the few weaknesses on this Thunder team. Across the regular season, Oklahoma City ranked 24th in opponent three-point attempts allowed and 25th in opponent three-point percentage. Expect Los Angeles to continue to make it a priority to generate these looks and for Hachimura to knock down at least three three-pointers for the fourth straight game in the series.
The Oklahoma City Thunder hold a commanding 3-0 series lead and have covered the spread in each matchup. They have also covered the spread in five of their seven postseason games overall. In all fairness, it feels the Lakers have maximized their outlook with the limitations the roster possesses. Luka Doncic, LeBron James and Austin Reaves are responsible for covering up the holes with their offensive brilliance and without Doncic on the floor, the weaknesses become a bit more pronounced. This is especially the case when being compared to the depth of this Thunder roster. The Lakers have shown flashes of being capable of going toe-to-toe with this Thunder team for stretches. But you have to keep the foot on the gas for all 48 minutes to get a positive result, and the Lakers have not looked capable of doing this. The Thunder can go on a run to completely flip the game at any point, and they have done so throughout the series. This was put on display in the previous game, when the Lakers were outscored 74-49 in the second half. Expect more of the same tonight, and for the Thunder to deliver the knockout punch in the series and tally their second straight series sweep.
Defense will always be his primary calling card as a player, but Lu Dort deserves credit for improving his perimeter shooting as his career has progressed. He struggled a bit this season, shooting 34.4% from deep, but he shot 41.2% last season and 39.4% on long-range shots the season before. Dort is shooting 39.0% from deep this postseason while attempting 5.9 perimeter shots per game. He has knocked down two three-pointers in two of the three games in this series while shooting 1-for-6 in the game he failed to reach this total. Dort also knocked down 2+ three-pointers in three of the four games in the opening round. Expect the Lakers to continue being content leaving Dort open, given the other offensive weapons the Thunder possess. Count on the scrappy defender to punish these chances and not be afraid to let it fly by knocking down another pair of three-pointers tonight.
It once seemed a long shot for Austin Reaves to even be on the floor this postseason, but he has returned to the floor and looked like himself. The Oklahoma product averaged 23.3 points and 5.5 assists per game across the regular season, recording 6+ assists in 22 of his 51 games played. Across his five postseason games, Reaves is averaging 18.6 points and 5.8 assists. He has tallied 6+ assists in four of the five games, including nine assists in the last matchup. With Doncic still sidelined, Reaves is getting more on-ball opportunities and making the most of them. Expect this to continue tonight and for him to have success getting downhill and spraying to shooters. There is a clear need for this role in the Lakers’ offense and count on Reaves continuing to deliver tonight with the season on the line.
