Ryan Wohl breaks down his best bet for Mayra Bueno Silva vs. Michelle Montague at tonight’s UFC Fight Night in Vegas.
Former UFC title challenger No. 12 Mayra Bueno Silva takes on Michelle Montague in a three-round Women’s Bantamweight bout at tonight’s UFC Fight Night. Bueno Silva has suffered four consecutive losses, with her last win coming in February 2023 against Lina Lansberg. Meanwhile, Montague has an undefeated record of 7-0 with six submissions.
Check out my best bet for Mayra Bueno Silva vs. Michelle Montague at tonight’s UFC Fight Night.
Montague is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Luana Carolina in her UFC debut in September 2025. Although Montague is from New Zealand, she trains at the legendary gym American Top Team in Florida. Before entering the UFC, she competed in PFL/Bellator from 2023 to 2024, going 4-0 with four submissions.
Bueno Silva is still ranked in the Women’s Bantamweight division but is in need of a victory to maintain her spot. In the past, Montague and Bueno Silva were teammates at American Top Team, but Bueno Silva left the gym. In the past, they have spent a ton of time training and sparring against each other.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Montague is a -440 favorite with Bueno Silva being the underdog at +340. Since both fighters are very familiar with each other, I’m taking Montague to win this bout by decision at -105. Although Bueno Silva has lost four straight, she has been finished only once in her career. Montague should be able to use her height (5’9″ vs. 5’6″) and reach (68″ vs. 66″) advantage to dictate the pace of this contest.
