Caitlin Clark 20+ Points: (-116): Before Saturday’s matchup between the Indiana Fever and Dallas Wings, it had been over 290 days since we last saw Clark in a WNBA game. Some rust was expected after that long layoff, but she still finished with 20 points, five rebounds, and seven assists, flashing glimpses of the 2024 Rookie of the Year. That said, her efficiency, especially from deep, wasn’t quite there, as she went just 2-for-9 from three and shot 38% from the field overall. In Game 2, I expect Clark to look more like herself. She faces a Los Angeles Sparks team that allowed 105 points to the reigning champion Las Vegas Aces in its opener and struggled to defend the perimeter last season — allowing opponents to shoot 36.6% from three (12th). If a few more shots fall from beyond the arc, Clark should clear 20 points without much trouble.
Dominique Malonga Under 15.5 Points (-110): Malonga opened the season with an impressive 21-point, eight-rebound performance against Golden State, but quickly came back down to earth with just six points against the Sun. Early foul trouble limited her minutes in that one, though she still made an impact defensively with three blocks and two steals. Her offensive production, however, was completely stunted, which makes this number more appealing. Seattle is still ironing things out offensively after a significant offseason overhaul, working in rookie Flau’jae Johnson and Jade Melbourne. Malonga hasn’t shown consistent scoring through her young career, and while it’s too early to say if that carries over this season, the under on 15.5 points looks like a bet worth backing tonight.
A’ja Wilson Under 10.5 Rebounds (-130): The Aces get a softer matchup tonight against the 0-2 Connecticut Sun after routing the Sparks in their last outing. Historically, Wilson has had no trouble scoring against Connecticut, putting up 20+ points in seven of the Aces’ last eight meetings with the Sun. However, rebounding has been a different story early on. Wilson has totaled just eight boards through her first two games, which is well below her usual standard. NaLyssa Smith currently leads the team at 6.0 rebounds per game, and with the addition of 6’4″ Brianna Turner, Las Vegas has more size to help on the glass. Wilson is always capable of a big rebounding night, but with the added frontcourt depth and a favorable matchup, the under looks like the right side here.
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together… feel free to tag along!
