The series tonight will head back to Detroit for Game 5 with the score tied 2-2. The Cavaliers will face off against the Pistons at 8 PM EST.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Mitchell has been on a heater for three straight games now, taking 24 shots or more and hitting for 31, 35, and 43 points. His role on this team is strictly to get buckets, and it’s his best skill, by far. He’s a three-level scorer who’s rising to the challenge. He posted a massive +28 in a nine point victory in Game 4 and will look to keep things rolling tonight against a tough Detroit home crowd. Mitchell should easily get to 27.5 points as long as he continues to hoist 20+ shots a game, which he’s done in four out of his last five games. In this playoff run, Mitchell has put up over 20 shots in all but three games. It would take a disgusting shooting night for him to fall short of this mark.

On the other end, Jalen Duren has been struggling mightily this playoff run. In the regular season he made his first All-Star appearance with 19.5 PPG and 10.5 RPG. This postseason, he’s gone for 10.2 PPG and 8.5 RPG in 11 games while playing 31.3 MPG. It’s been a drastic fall-off and one that’s worrisome to the Pistons’ front office. Even though this falloff is mostly due to matchups, it’s concerning if Detroit’s cornerstone center cannot be effective in other ways if he’s getting neutralized. The Cavaliers have done an impressive job shutting him down with size. Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley have limited Duren’s rebounding and putback opportunities. The playoff pace has also limited Duren’s ability to score off quick rolls. I’m not confident in Duren staying on the floor for long stretches, nor am I confident in him grabbing double digit rebounds tonight when he has to battle Allen and Mobley in the interior.

I know that Jenkins has now gone two consecutive games scoring just two points, but this number is still lagging behind the role Detroit’s actually giving him right now. Jenkins has been a real rotation piece all postseason. He scored 16 in Game 7 vs. Orlando in 29 minutes, then followed it with 12 in Game 1 vs. Cleveland. And in Game 2, he stayed involved even with Cade/Tobias carrying the offense, finishing with 14 points in Detroit’s win. Cleveland’s defensive attention is still tilted toward Detroit’s primary creators, which keeps Jenkins living in the exact shot diet that’ll push him over 8.5 tonight: catch-and-shoot 3s, early-clock uncontested threes when the ball swings, and a couple of drives when closeouts get too aggressive. It’s a bit worrisome that he only received five and four shot attempts in his last two, but given his lower than usual minutes, it was to be expected. I’m counting on Jenkins bouncing back at home tonight.

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of at least two players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you cannot pick the same player twice and you must select players from at least two different teams.
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
