Thursday’s episode of Love Island USA picked up in familiar fashion: a whole lot of scantily clad singles sitting around and talking about nothing. But even mundanity in this split villa can offer memorable moments.
Another installment of Inside the Locker Room with Corbin and KC — which surely won’t prove divisive among the fanbase — saw the pair all but confirm that Parmida and Tierra were coming back with them to the villa. We also got some surprisingly earnest advice from Kenzie, who urged Kayda and Aniya to dive into their Casa connections because their fellas are almost certainly doing the same.
That advice became even more resonant after a pair of unassuming mailboxes spawned at each villa.
Kenzie became the bearer of bad news for the girls, ripping open an envelope that revealed the boys’ secret dealings across the island. The most damning evidence included a snapshot of Zach locking lips with Alannah, which sent a hysterical Kayda careening onto the couch. Melanie — at first trying to convince herself it was all part of a challenge — quickly followed suit upon seeing Sincere smooching with Amora. Not long after, Aniya shed a few tears of her own on the shoulder of Kenzie.
Over at Casa Amor, a photo of Kayda’s challenge kiss with Chay had Zach worried about what incriminating image of him she must have received. Predictably, Sincere remains at a crossroads between two women, and Corbin wasn’t much affected by Kenzie’s new connection. KC, however, appeared more perturbed to uncover Aniya’s kiss with Carl than he led on.
Worst of all, Bryce — already miserable without Trinity — suffered another gut punch in the form of a copy of her photo-booth embrace with Corey. Debriefing with Sincere later that night, Bryce outlined his awe-inducing plan that he intends to follow his heart and return from Casa as a solo man — choosing Trinity regardless of whether she picks him.
At the villa, the girls collectively decided to embrace their Casa experience, a point hammered home at the end of the episode. Aniya shared another kiss with Carl, Kayda continued her pursuit of Chay, and Melanie — with Kayda and Aniya egging her on — nearly sealed the deal with Corey.
And it all comes down to Friday’s recoupling.
