Charlie Cummings shares his top DraftKings MLB DFS stud plays, values, and targets for Sunday’s slate on 6/14/26.
Welcome to my weekly Sunday DraftKings MLB DFS plays. I’ll break down some of the prime picks on the board, including studs and value plays, and break down why these players can lead your lineup to victory.
Set your DraftKings MLB DFS lineups here: MLB $175K Bat Flip [$50K to 1st]
SP Cristopher Sanchez (PHI), $11,600: Sanchez is the most expensive pitcher on the board, and for good reason. He’s coming off a historic scoreless inning streak and is one of the contenders in a loaded NL Cy Young field. It takes some penny-pinching throughout the lineup to get him in there, but it’s hard to imagine building a competent lineup without Sanchez, who has put up 30+ DFS points in five of his last six starts.
SP Andrew Abbott (CIN), $6,500: It’s a tough proposition to find value behind Sanchez, but Andrew Abbott is a great shout. He’s been awfully consistent for the Reds; you may not get elite results, but come hell or high water, he’s giving you five innings and doesn’t let the scoreline get out of control. Against a middling Diamondbacks lineup, he should provide strong SP2 value. If you’re going for Sanchez, there’s really no other option.
1B/3B Max Muncy (LAD), $4,500: It’s weird to say this, but Max Muncy is the Dodgers’ second-best hitter. He’s up to 16 homers on the year after a 3-for-3, two-homer game. The power upside is out of this world, and he brings a solid floor with his ability to take walks and hit for contact. Right-hander Erick Fedde and his 4.69 ERA will get bulk innings for the White Sox, and I expect Muncy to deliver.
SS Gunnar Henderson (BAL), $5,400: The results this year haven’t been great for Gunnar Henderson. But his power swing has come back recently, and he’s a beneficiary of the Walker Buehler matchup on Sunday. I love the upside for Henderson here, and with the shortstop position producing a lot of duds this year, you have to pay a premium for upside.
C Samuel Basallo (BAL), $3,600: When Basallo gets his good swing going, he’s one of the most impressive power-hitting catchers in the game. After a cold streak, he’s putting some good swings together against the Padres and gets a date with a struggling Walker Buehler on Sunday. That gives him immense potential for extra-base hits, runs, and RBIs.
1B Paul Goldschmidt (NYY), $4,500: The timeless lefty masher continues his ways. Goldschmidt gets a date with Patrick Corbin on Sunday, a huge spot for him to produce results. Goldy comes into this one on a six-game hitting streak, including a pair of homers and eight RBIs. He’s a must for your first base spot if you want to splurge on Sanchez and save down the order.
2B/SS Cole Young (SEA), $3,500: The Mariners always find a way to squeeze infield production out of unlikely places. Cole Young is their latest success, racking up eight hits over his last four games. On Sunday, Young gets a date with the struggling Miles Mikolas, and has a ton of potential here. You won’t get a ton of power here, but the run-scoring potential is excellent.
OF Andy Pages (LAD), $5,300: The breakout season for Andy Pages has offset a lot of their disappointing veteran performances. He’s on pace for a 30-homer, 100-RBI season, and has been a crucial bat for LA all season long. Chicago’s pitching staff is ripe for some thwacking on Sunday, and Pages will be right in the middle of it.
OF Tristan Peters (CWS), $2,500: Man, this guy came out of nowhere. Peters rocked a home run on Saturday night, putting his OPS over .800 with a batting average approaching .300. Emmett Sheehan has been solid for the Dodgers. Still, Peters is hot, and the value is impossible to ignore.
OF Braden Montgomery (CWS), $3,100: Why not get another Sock in here? Braden Montgomery, one of Chicago’s top prospects, has hit the ground running. He crushed a walk-off in his first career game and continues to put out good swings. While the league figures him out, his price remains low, and he has tremendous upside here.
