Cooper Albers shares his top player prop bets for Sunday’s MLB slate.
We’ve officially hit the one-month mark of the 2026 MLB season, and what better way to celebrate than a jam-packed Sunday slate? All 30 clubs are in action — including a Rockies-Mets doubleheader — bringing plenty of star power and value across the board.
Let’s dive into three of the top player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has yet to unleash his power this season — but that’s not to say he’s gone quiet at the plate. Despite having just two home runs through the first 26 games, the superstar slugger has still posted an impressive .852 OPS, fueled by the eighth-highest batting average in MLB (.323). He recently rattled off a 12-game hitting streak, recording multiple hits — and total bases — in half of those contests.
Expect the perennial All-Star to stay hot at the dish against struggling Cleveland right-hander Slade Cecconi. The 26-year-old starter has gotten crushed this season to the tune of a 6.20 ERA (6.30 xERA) and a 1.58 WHIP through his first five starts. Cecconi has also posted reverse splits, allowing an .839 OPS to righties throughout his four-year career.
Mets right-hander Nolan McLean is technically coming off his worst start of the season from a “runs allowed” perspective, surrendering three earned over 6.2 innings against the Twins. But on the flip side of the coin, he racked up a season-high 10 strikeouts — his third straight outing with at least eight K’s.
Expect the burgeoning ace to keep the trend going during the first half of Sunday’s doubleheader with the Rockies. While Colorado has gotten off to an uncharacteristically strong start at 11–16, the club leads the National League with a 25.1% strikeout rate. New York’s Freddy Peralta fanned eight over 5.2 frames in Friday’s series opener.
After a slow start to the season, Junior Caminero has quickly found his rhythm. The 22-year-old star enters the series finale with the Twins on a 10-game hitting streak, highlighted by a two-homer performance in Friday’s opener. During this stretch, the righty slugger is averaging 3.5 combined hits, runs, and RBIs per contest.
He now gets to take a few more hacks off stumbling right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson, whom he took deep on April 5 (1-for-3). The 25-year-old has struggled to turn things around, holding a 5.96 ERA (4.62 xERA) and a 1.56 WHIP through his first five turns, with neutral splits.
