Today’s highly anticipated boxing event is headlined by Oleksandr Usyk vs. Rico Verhoeven for the WBC Heavyweight Championship. Uysk, 39, is 24-0 with 15 knockouts and is regarded as a top-three pound-for-pound boxer in the world. Currently, Usyk is the WBC, WBA, IBF, and The Ring boxing Heavyweight Champion, but the WBC title is the only one on the line in this contest. This event is taking place at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
In boxing, Rico Verhoeven is 1-0 with one knockout, but that doesn’t accurately reflect the challenger. Verhoeven competed in kickboxing from 2008 to 2025, with a 66-10 record, and was the longest-reigning Heavyweight Champion in GLORY history. In GLORY, Verhoeven defended the title 13 times and is known as one of the greatest kickboxers in the sport’s history.
After defeating Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Daniel Dubois twice each, Uysk has shifted his focus to a new, unique challenge with Verhoeven. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Usyk is a -2500 favorite with Verhoeven as a +1100 underdog. Usyk is getting 93 percent of bets and 54 percent of the handle, while 46 percent of the handle and seven percent of bets are on the challenger.
Hamzah Sheeraz is taking on Alem Begic in the co-main event of this card for the vacant WBO Super Middleweight Championship. Sheeraz is 22-0-1 while Begic’s record stands at 29-0-1. In July 2025, Sheeraz picked up a big fifth-round knockout over Edgar Berlanga. Meanwhile, this is Begic’s first fight in 13 months, as he last beat Mahdi Safdari. Sheeraz is a heavy -2500 favorite and is receiving 96 percent of bets and 81 percent of the handle in this contest. Only 19 percent of the handle and four percent of bets are on Begic.
Another intriguing fight on this card is Jack Catterall vs. Shakhram Giyasov in a 12-round Welterweight bout. Catterall is looking to extend his winning streak to three. On the other hand, Giyasov has an undefeated 17-0 record and last beat Franco Maximiliano Ocampo. In this fight, Catterall is a -230 favorite with Giyasov being the +180 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. For the handle, 92 percent goes to Giyasov, with eight percent going to Catterall. Meanwhile, Catterrall is drawing 62 percent of bets, and Giyasov gets 38 percent of bets.
