Cooper Albers breaks down the opening odds for Dricus Du Plessis vs. Kamaru Usman at UFC OKC on July 18.
The UFC is bringing a barnburner to Oklahoma City.
Former middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis will face ex-welterweight titleholder Kamaru Usman at 185 pounds in the main event of UFC OKC on July 18, the promotion announced Saturday night.
Du Plessis opens as a -340 moneyline favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Usman counters as a +270 underdog.

Du Plessis (23–3, 9–1 UFC) is coming off a one-sided decision title loss to Khamzat Chimaev in August 2025. Before that, “Stillknocks” had won 11 straight bouts, including statement wins over the likes of Robert Whittaker, Israel Adesanya, and Sean Strickland (twice).
Usman (21–4, 16–3 UFC) had dropped three straight bouts from 2022 to 2023 before rebounding in a big way with a commanding unanimous decision over Joaquin Buckley in June 2025. He’s 0–1 at middleweight but certainly gave Chimaev a run for his money in their October 2023 clash.
