The Thunder will visit the Spurs for a pivotal Game 5 tonight with the series tied at 2-2. The game will tip off at 8:30 PM EST, with the winner securing a lead in the series. The Spurs have yet to submit their injury report, while the Thunder will be without Ajay Mitchell and Jalen Williams.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Wemby averaged 3.1 APG in the regular season and 2.9 APG in the playoffs this year, his first-ever run. We’re getting a nice discount tonight with a low 2.5 mark, which he should hit easily given he’s playing big playoff minutes and has gone on record talking about how he needs to make his teammates better.
Wemby’s assists will come from passing out of blitzes and doubles. OKC has been willing to throw multiple bodies at him to keep him away from easy baskets, and that naturally turns Wemby into a hub at the elbow/post where the first read is usually a kickout. We just saw the script in Game 4, when he posted five assists while OKC’s defense loaded up. And even if OKC is generally solid at limiting opponent assists in the regular season, conceding just 24.8 opponent APG, Wemby can still clear 2.5 by simply being the guy who baits in the defense before finding open teammates.

Game 4 was the nightmare box score, but it also confirmed the one thing we want to see here when it comes to McCain: the green light. McCain went 1/10 in 24 minutes and OKC continued letting him fire. The other side of that volatility showed up one game earlier, when he erupted for 24 points on 21 shots in 27 minutes in Game 3, so we’ve already seen OKC use him like a true microwave scorer in this series, not as tentative new acquisition on a short hook.
The Spurs’ defensive identity, namely Wemby denying the rim, naturally pushes more offense toward jump shooting and quick decisions, which is exactly where McCain thrives. If he gets into that same mid-20s minutes mark, the path to 12 is straightforward: a couple of early threes or one good stretch against second-unit coverage could get him there fairly easily. Role players also typically perform a bit better at home.

Similar to Wembanyama, Hartenstein’s ability to pass out of clogged lanes will help him rack up More than 2.5 assists tonight. He averaged 3.5 APG in the regular season when the defense tags cutters or overhelps on drives. With San Antonio dialing up physicality and help toward OKC’s primary creation, Hartenstein ends up touching the ball in advantageous situations, and three assists can be as simple as one short-roll dime, one swing-to-swing that becomes a made three, and a dump-off to a cutter. He’s also projected to start again, so the minutes/usage floor is steadier than it would be for a bench-only big, especially when OKC need his rebounding. His minutes should stay relatively stable in the mid to high 20’s.

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of at least two players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you cannot pick the same player twice and you must select players from at least two different teams.
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
