In two days, Drake is set to release ‘Iceman’, his ninth solo studio album. Drake is one of the greatest rappers and musicians of all time and is a five-time Grammy Award winner. Throughout his career, Drake has released many mixtapes and collab albums, but only eight solo albums.

After releasing an album with more singing, ‘Honestly, Nevermind’, Drake returned in 2023, featuring more of his rapping. This album features many big hits, including “Virginia Beach,” “Fear Of Heights,” “First Person Shooter,” and “Rich Baby Daddy.” This album featured 29 songs and was one of his largest projects to date.

‘Certified Lover Boy’ was a highly anticipated album before its release, and it lived up to the previous expectations. This album featured a ton of other artists, including JAY-Z, Travis Scott, Future, Lil Baby, and Lil Wayne. CLB maintained an excellent flow throughout the project and did a good job of showcasing Drake’s versatile skill set.

Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ album featured two parts, totaling 25 songs. Having only one feature in the first 12 songs was a great move by Drake, as it put all of the focus on himself. Of the 25 songs on this album, only three featured another artist. The beats throughout Scopion were top-tier, and this album has been another one that is easily replayable.

‘Views’ came three years after ‘Nothing Was the Same,’ but Drake was still active during the time in between those albums. Drake released ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ and ‘What a Time To Be Alive’ before his fourth solo album.

‘Take Care’ was Drake’s second solo album, but he seemed to fine-tune his sound on this project, delivering a more consistent album. This album features a ton of his biggest hits, like “The Motto,” “Marvin’s Room,” “Crew Love,” “Headlines,” and “Underground Kings.” In the United States, this album is Diamond Certified and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. This album has proven to be timeless and, to me, is Drake’s most complete album to date. Take Care won a Grammy in 2013 for Best Rap Album.
Drake’s ninth album, ‘Iceman’, releases on Friday, May 15.
