Nigel Sylvester’s follow-up to the beloved “Brick By Brick” 4s drops May 22 and may be even better than the original.
Nigel Sylvester is back with the follow-up to his 2025 Sneaker of the Year favorite Brick By Brick Air Jordan 4 collab, this time representing “the next evolution of not only reaching, but sustaining your dreams.”
And I think this new drop could be even better than the original.
The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 “Brick After Brick” drops on May 22 for a retail price of $230.

The Brick After Brick 4s have big shoes to fill, as Nigel Sylvester’s previous Brick By Brick 4s were many people’s sneaker of the year for 2025 (although, it did not make my 2025 list). SNKRS notes that:
Nigel’s unrivaled drive and discipline is embedded into each style so you can take your dreams to the next level—just like him.
The Brick After Brick 4s have drawn some comparisons to the OG Fire Red 4s, although there are slight differences, such as the plastic wings in the “cinnebar” color as opposed to black and anthracite grey replacing black accents. There are also tiny Swooshes on the forefoot, a hallmark of Nigel Sylvester collabs. Another interesting tweak is the use of translucent red rubber on the outsole, which should be popular with sneakerheads. There’s just enough here to differentiate the Brick After Brick 4s from the Fire Red 4s.
There’s also a decent amount to differentiate the Brick After Brick 4s from their predecessor, the Brick By Brick 4s. If anything, this version might be even more wearable, swapping the predominantly bright red upper for premium white leather with sail, cinnabar, anthracite and muslin accents. Check out this side-by-side comparison below.

The Brick After Brick 4s tweak the back heel tab slightly, opting for a cracked leather tab with “Bike Air” branding stitched in as opposed to the traditional plastic tab featuring “Nike Air” branding. The back of the tab also features a bike, one of two nods to Nigel, the other being the “Jordan Biking Co. 2017.” The lace aglet on each set of laces continues the story, featuring the word “Brick,” as does the “Bike Air” hang tag made of the same material as the back heel tab. The shoes will come in a brick-textured and themed box similar to the Brick By Brick 4s, this time in grey, and the shoes will come wrapped in plastic banded together similarly to how actual bricks are shipped.
An apparel collection will drop in concert with the sneakers’ release, with SNKRS noting that the “apparel line combines functional, performance-driven details juxtaposed with Sylvester’s signature style for an elevated feel that reps his unrivaled drive and discipline.”
The Brick After Brick 4s are available early on StockX, where they have an average price of $531 on 49 sales over the last three months. That compares to an average price of $723 on 36 sales over the last three months for the Brick By Brick 4s. I would say that’s to be expected, as a sequel rarely matches the original. That being said, I still expect these will not be an easy cop, so best of luck to all looking to pick up a pair!
