Sean Barnard details his top Shai Gilgeous-Alexander prop bets for tonight’s Game 7 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder will be looking to deliver the knockout punch against the San Antonio Spurs to earn their second consecutive NBA Finals appearance. This has been an incredible series between these two Western Conference heavyweights, with everything on the line tonight. Oklahoma City will attempt to defend home court and keep its hopes alive of repeating as NBA Champions.
The Thunder are 3.5-point favorites and hold -148 odds of winning outright on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Spurs are +124 underdogs, with the game total set at 212.5 points.

With the stage set, here are my favorite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander prop bets ahead of the Western Conference Finals Game 7.
It has been a frustrating series for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from a scoring perspective. The back-to-back MVP is averaging just 24.3 points per game across the opening six games, while shooting 37.9% from the field and 26.1% from beyond the three-point arc. This comes after he averaged 31.1 points per game during the regular season and 27.1 points per game in the playoffs overall. Gilgeous-Alexander has been held to under 30.5 points in five of the six games in this series.
While the Thunder will need their star player to deliver in this Game 7, the Spurs deserve plenty of credit for forcing these struggles. Victor Wembanyama is a game-changing defensive talent, and the rest of the San Antonio roster has plenty of rugged defenders around him. This series has brought the expected playoff physicality, and Gilgeous-Alexander has not been able to shoot better than 50% from the field in a matchup yet. With the season on the line, count on the Spurs making a clear effort to prevent the Thunder star from getting rolling and being much more willing to make others beat them.
With so much attention on slowing down Gilgeous-Alexander as a scorer, the Thunder star has done a nice job leveraging this attention to capitalize as a playmaker. On the season overall, Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 7.1 assists per game and tallied over 7.5 assists in 23 games. In the postseason, he is producing 7.9 assists per game and has tallied over 7.5 assists in nine of the 14 games played. This includes recording 12 assists twice in this series and eight or more in four of the six games.
The injury to Jalen Williams changes the construction of the Thunder offense. Williams played a massive role in last year’s championship run as the secondary creator who is capable of serving as the leader of the offense for stretches. But his absence puts even more on-ball responsibility onto Gilgeous-Alexander’s shoulders. Players like Jared McCain and Alex Caruso are proving to be capable of scaling up their roles. But they are better used moving off-ball and primarily in catch-and-shoot opportunities.
Expect Gilgeous-Alexander to effectively run the offense and be comfortable deferring to teammates when the defense calls for it. The Spurs will sleep better at night forcing other members of the roster to beat them as opposed to the two-time MVP.
