Blake Krass gives his pick, prediction and best bet for Saturday’s FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester City.
The FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Chelsea is set for 10 a.m. ET at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Manchester City is a -140 moneyline favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Chelsea is a +370 underdog to pull off the upset. The odds are +300 for the match to end in a draw after 90 minutes.
Let’s dive into my prediction and pick for the FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester City.
It has been a disappointing season for Chelsea. Expectations were high for the Blues following an incredible summer. Enzo Maresca had the team playing Champions League football, had won the Club World Cup, and was hoping to take the next step and compete for the Premier League. Maresca ended up out of a job at the start of the new year due to clashes with the Chelsea ownership. Despite that, Chelsea managed to navigate the FA Cup to reach this final.
Despite surviving the FA Cup schedule, the rest of 2026 has been awful for Chelsea. PSG dominated them in the Champions League Round of 16. Their Premier League results got so bad that Liam Rosenior was sacked as they attempted to salvage the season. Unfortunately, Chelsea will not be playing in the Champions League next season. Despite all of that turmoil, interim manager Calum McFarlane can save Chelsea’s season if he leads them to the FA Cup.
The next couple of weeks are hectic for Manchester City. They are coming off a crucial win over Crystal Palace to keep the Premier League title race alive. Now, they have this massive final against Chelsea with an FA Cup on the line. Then, just three days later, Manchester City will have another league game against Bournemouth. Assuming they get a result there, they will head into the final day of the Premier League with a shot at the title. Pep Guardiola has won two FA Cups with Manchester City. Since this is expected to be his final season in Manchester, Guardiola would love to leave the club with one more trophy. With the Premier League title looking like a long shot, that trophy likely needs to come here in the FA Cup final.
My best bet is for Manchester City to win inside 90 minutes and score more than 1.5 goals. That same-game parlay comes out to -110 odds. Manchester City are just on another level than Chelsea at the moment. Chelsea has the advantage of being fresher and not having the massive distraction of the Premier League title race that Manchester City has. However, nobody has mastered managing multiple competitions like Pep Guardiola. He will have his team ready to go and win this trophy. He only has three games left in his Manchester City tenure, and he will want to push to the brink in all of them.
Manchester City not only has a massive advantage with its manager but also with the goal machine Erling Haaland. It’s almost guaranteed that Haaland will score a goal in this game. Chelsea will be forced to push for a goal to compete for the cup. That should open them up at the back and allow Manchester City to nab a second goal. These two met in the Premier League just over a month ago, and City battered Chelsea 3-0. There could be a similar result here at Wembley.
